Parents & Student Orientation

Program Objectives

The tutoring component will include:

  • Parent Orientation
  • Student Orientation
  • Homework Help
  • Report Card Review
  • STAAR Review
  • Assessment
  • Tutoring
  • Academic Encouragement

The program will allow each student to participate in character building and instructions.  However, students who have academic needs will be provided individuals assistance as needed.

 

Students who are in good academic standing will be provided homework help and will participate in character building, sports training and play in the team games.  Students who need academic assistance will be provided assistances through an individual plan develop for their specific need, before being allowed to play in games.  This method has proven to encourage the desire to achieve.  Each of the above components are allowed in the plan.

 

Parent Orientation:

Parent orientation will engage parents and provide information and support them to help motivate their children to be successful.  Parents will be provided information and support to help their children academically and areas of character development.

 

Student Orientation:

Provides students an orientation to the problem and expectation for their success.  Academic and character expectations will be explained and a reward system will also be explained so that students will have incentives for doing well and achieving to their potential.
